Why the answer depends on the vial
A 10 mg dose of tirzepatide can come from three labelled Zepbound vials, and only two of them give it in one draw. The 10 mg single-dose vial, 20 mg/mL, is the whole 0.5 mL: the 50 mark. The 40 mg multi-dose vial, 16.7 mg/mL, gives 10 mg in the labelled 0.6 mL withdrawal: the 60 mark. The third is the 10 mg multi-dose vial, which is 10 mg in 2.4 mL. Its labelled withdrawal is 2.5 mg, not 10, and the whole 2.4 mL does not fit an insulin syringe. That vial is the reason the table below carries 4.17 mg/mL: at that concentration 10 mg is 2.4 mL, which the calculator refuses on a 1 mL syringe. Same milligrams on the box, four times the volume in the vial. Read the concentration, not only the strength.
The mistake to watch for. "10 mg vial" on a Zepbound box can mean a single-dose vial with 10 mg in 0.5 mL, or a multi-dose vial with 10 mg spread across 2.4 mL. The first is one 10 mg dose. The second is four 2.5 mg doses. Both say 10 mg.
